Product Manager Lies works in her element...

when working at a big & small company at the same time.

“Oleon is an international company that feels like a family business. It’s small in the sense that there are no fixed procedures for everything, so you get a lot of autonomy and are encouraged to take initiatives. Plus, the atmosphere is good, and people are down-to-earth. On the other hand, I experience Oleon as a big company, because I work with people from diverse cultures. When I check my mail in the morning, there are messages from people in America who start when we finish, and from Asia because they start working before we do.”

when combining research with client contact.

“I love both the technical and commercial aspects of my job. I enjoy client contact, while still staying in touch with the scientific part of our products. I also take the time to study our projects in-depth, so I can share my knowledge later on. Time flies at Oleon. I never look at the clock, I guess that says it all.”

when exploring new markets.

“Being innovative in the nutritional market isn’t easy. There’s strict legislation, which makes it hard to change things at product level. But of course, we innovate, in the sense that we are always looking for new markets to sell our products. In general, I think Oleon is definitely innovative when it comes to business development.”
