Oleon's Ecolibra tool wins Cefic 2024 Responsible Care Award

Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council, proudly recognises 23 companies and national associations for their exceptional contributions to advancing the ambitions of the Antwerp Declaration through the 2024 European Responsible Care Awards.

The awarded initiatives reflect the chemical industry’s important role in strengthening Europe’s industrial base while addressing key priorities like supporting high-quality jobs, boosting EU competitiveness, improving process safety and cybersecurity, and driving the green and digital transition. These efforts underscore the industry's commitment to building a competitive, resilient, and sustainable Europe.

Oleon's sustainability scoring tool Ecolibra won the award in the category Time for change: transition to safe and sustainable chemicals. The tool allows us to assess the impact of our products during the very first stages of development. This award is a nice confirmation of our commitment to sustainability and our efforts in driving positive change within the chemical industry.

Responsible Care is a cornerstone of the chemical sector’s commitment to leading sustainable practices across its operations. This voluntary programme, implemented by 63 chemical associations across 70 economies, including 30 countries in Europe, continues to set a global standard for excellence.
